The program emphasizes coursework reflecting the latest empirical findings in the field and combines courses, practicum placements, and dissertation with professional support to help you successfully complete the program with a versatile degree for practice, teaching, or research. Our in-house training facilities provide clinicals for doctoral students.
A Day in the Life
Prospective students often ask us, “What is a day in the life of a student really like? How many hours do they study? Do they bring lunch or eat in the dining hall?” So we went straight to the source and asked some of our current students about a typical day. A Day in the Life gives you a glimpse of what you can expect.

PsyD program Class of 2019
Where are you now?
I’m fulfilling a lifelong dream entering the first of a two-year psychology postdoctoral fellowship in Developmental Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Each day brings great joy. Most of my time is spent in diagnostic evaluation of children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. Plus, I continue to learn new interventions and work on research and scholarly projects related to autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.
What did your path from graduation to now look like?
I’ve completed six months of postdoc at JFK Partners—University of Colorado School of Medicine—successfully passing the EPPP licensure exam and I’m pursuing training opportunities in order to support my licensure and early career.
