Rise up. At Pacific University, we have high expectations for all our students. Are you up to the challenge?
Your Path Starts Here
The School of Graduate Psychology (SGP) offers three terminal degree options: a Master's in Applied Clinical Psychology, a PhD in Clinical Psychology, and a PsyD in Clinical Psychology.
Broad Scope of Practice Psychology clients come from diverse backgrounds. From individuals to families, groups, and communities. Psychologists have almost unlimited opportunities to contribute to mental health. In the School of Graduate Psychology, you will find programs that prepare graduates for real-world diversity through academic study, mentoring, research, fieldwork, and practicum.
Extensive Fieldwork Experience Because we value research and clinical practice, you will have many laboratory, fieldwork, and practicum experiences. In our Master’s program, students complete a case-study, using both clinical and research skills attained during their practicums. In the doctorate programs, students complete theses or dissertations, engage in research with a mentor and hone their skills in preparation for their internship.

Interprofessional Education As healthcare providers, psychologists must understand the complexity of the healthcare system and to value the contribution of other medical professionals. Throughout the program, you will be able to work with peers from Pacific University’s additional health professions schools, such as Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physician Assistant Studies.
Life Outside of Class Your success in the classroom is linked to fulfillment outside of the classroom. In addition to studies, we hope students take a deep breath and relax. From our Hillsboro campus, Portland’s cultural vitality is easily accessible. You are also close to the Pacific Northwest countryside, beaches, and extraordinary forests that provide countless opportunities for outdoor adventure.
Locations The School of Graduate Psychology is housed in Hillsboro, Oregon and is easily accessible via mass transit through the MAX light rail system.
Pacific students are passionate. They are empathetic. They are service-oriented. And they are fun. These innate interpersonal qualities are just as important to us as your academic profile. We want to learn about these qualities in addition to your academic preparation.
